Im currently 19, attending college.
i want to enroll in the nursing program for two years and eventually get my bachelors.
i have two class b misdameanors one for theft and another for criminal mischief, i finally got a job, and i just had a son, im trying to do things right and get education now when my boy is young so he can have more than i ever had. but i feel like this is going to hold me back.
my son means everything to me, after his birth, it literally changed me, to go back to school, be responsible, and be there for him financially. i have honestly matured so much from when the incident happen, i was clearly in a dumb mind state but what can i do, im trying to do right, but how can i when this is haunting me.
and everything i hear about texas, and deffered adjudification probation, it seems so hopeless, especailly when the board of liscenurse have complete access to records that are deffered, due to the governor appointing them.
idk what to do.

You must write the board of nursing and explain the situation. Ask them if you would be eligible for a license. Only they can answer. It may depend on whether you were a juvenile at the time. If you were an adult, I do not believe that you would be able to sit for a license exam. But they have the final word. Better to know now, and modify your goals if you need to, than to take courses with that goal in mind only to be disappointed. Good luck.

i agree, only your state BON can answer this, there may be an appeal process, but better to know now before you plan your life around this, and then change your plans if you need to.
we can't give legal advice here on the boards....TOS and all. Mods?
Good luck whatever happens sweetie....

Terms of service do not allow legal advice other than to encourage you to discuss the situation with your state BON.
Best wishes.
