WAKEFOREST 2019 cohort

Published

Anyone applying for the 2019 class? Or have any interview tips/application suggestions? Most of my coworkers from the PICU who are currently in CRNA school were rejected almost immediately after applying to wake forest which I find concerning for myself but i'm applying nonetheless :)

I am not abandoning all hope just yet. There are only a handful of people from this thread that got in and there are still interviews. I am just telling myself that those who received offers are outliers who shined so bright the school knew right away they had to have them.

Until we get outright rejection letters, any of us who have interviewed still have a shot. At least I hope so.

I believe that you are correct. I am in the same boat as you... interviewed in May and still waiting.

I wish I knew how many people were accepted from the spring interviews.

Did they just call? When did you interview

They called this morning! I interviewed on November 5th

Anyone else hear back this week ?

Have not heard anything, but the WF Nurse Anesthesia page has a post from 11/13 saying they enjoyed meeting all the candidates and will will be sorting through all of it and be excited to welcome the next class. So there are still decisions to be made as far as I can tell. Good news for those of us in limbo!

I'm in! Got an email this afternoon saying a decision on admission had been made and to follow the link to the portal we used to apply. Based on the other people on here who said they received phone calls, I assumed I was clicking through to read a rejection letter. I still can't believe I got in. I had to even go back and make sure it was actually my name on the letter. Hope some more folks on here get some good news soon too.

Im still hopeful and waiting for that email.

The interview was amazing and the school seemed top notch.. I would've accepted an offer in a heart beat had it not been for the fact that I was waitlisted :/ and I highly doubt anyone would drop their position to this school to get into another one.. But great job to all those who interviewed and got in..

I just have a question - and I want to ask this just in case I encounter it again in a future CRNA interview - what was up with that writing requirement..? can someone explain to me what they were looking for? (possibly in a private message if possible) I tried writing something but I felt completely dumb in the end and if that's the reason that separated me from getting in, then I am at a complete loss...
