Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.
Kalogeneris wants you to pass and he means well, but a lot of students feel that they didn't learn anything from his classes. Not 1 that I know of. Newpher is a great teacher and the two of my friends I recommended Newpher to are getting A's. He teaches traditionally who goes into detail and will answer any questions you have. He has study guides for each test and I recommend you do them.
Nunez flip classroom I hear is lecture at home. You take the material and you learn it yourself. Come on class and teach or go over what you learn with his assistance as well. I hear it works for those who are on point with their studies. Not slackers. Plus he is a cool person. I like him and I've heard good about his classes.
Thank you bgo26!!! I'm taking your advice. Newpher has great reviews on rate my professor!! Good luck!!! After this semester I have 134 points. I need at least 12 for teas and a A or B in bio169 in order to be in a competitive spot. Did u happen to take micro? I was thinking I would wait until I applied in January. Thank you for the advice!!
Gotgifts3 you read his slides at home before class. They are really easy to follow and informative. The first part of class is going over any questions. Some days you take a quiz. After you take the quiz you get in your assigned group where you take it again together. Other days you do handouts with your group. I really liked it because we were constantly talking about and applying what we learned. We also watched ted talks which I loved. It is a good class for those, like myself, who tend to zone out during long lectures. His test are awesome too because he let's you pick questions to not answer. He is also easy to get a hold of if you have any questions.
HELLO OUT THERE! Anyone feeling a few classes lighter? I know I am. Completed my HUM 115, an SOC 201 this past Sunday, we had up until Wednesday to complete, but I refused to start another week with classes, lol. Now I can fully focus on TEAS. I still cant seem to pull it together. I've been studying for a month, but never seem to narrow down on anything because everything is so random. Any tips or suggestions? I have the TEAS and McGraw manuals as well.
How's everyone else coming along?

Been watching organizations videos while in nursing school, etc. it's just going to be one LONG summer. Mrs Watkins said she will review after fall starts and send them out at the end of September!
