Wake Tech Spring 2017 Start

Published

Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.

CN_2bRN919, EmilyNicole91 I did all the homework sheets. I think what will mess me up is when there are multiple correct answers and you have to pick all the right ones. My test is tonight. I can't look at those sheets anymore. Thanks for all the help!!

Good luck tonight gotgifts3! I thought I had said that earlier but it doesn't look like my comment posted! I am sure you will do fabulous! Let us know how it goes! They tell you your results right after you take the exam which saves you from a lot of anxiety.

CN_2bRN919 I got a 90!!!! The highest was a 92. I asked Mrs Williams did this compare to the state test? Her reply was the state test is the easiest to pass. I had several in my class fail the test last night. Some of the questions were confusing. 1 down and 3 to go. When are u taking the state test?

That's awesome gotgifts3!! Now you know what to expect and how to study. Start preparing early for the second test as it's pretty much anatomy. If you've taken both anatomys already (BIO 168/169) I am sure you'll be golden!! I'm taking my state test the first weekend in May! I'm ready to get it over with. I've been going to open lab for the past couple of weeks!

You are going to do awesome!!! The instructors are amazing. I love all of them!! Have a great weekend.

Hi ladies! I went ahead and completed a CPR course so that if I do get into the program for the spring, that would be one less thing I would have to worry about. I don't think I've been this excited about exams coming up! So ready to be done with this semester and classes (until the clinical portion that is --- fingers crossed). I'm so ready to apply! Anyone else as eager as I am?! Happy last week of classes fellow future nurses! :)

Yesssssss mam! Last week of class and I'm ready. I mailed in my application last week as soon as I got my hours of clinical signed by my the doctors and nurse I shadowed. Now I can finish strong with these course and take my TEAS.

You go Jpeters247!! I'll probably drop mine off the week after I take my NACES on 5/7.

Speaking of hours... I'm thinking this application cycle may be a little more competitive than previous spring semesters because people may be trying to apply before the CNA requirement changes since it changes effective Fall 2017. Sometimes I think I just brainstorm all of these possibilities that could keep me from getting in. Ahhhhh!

You know before I gave this whole thing over to the Lord, I would've said the same thing, or at least agreed, but I can't, or I should say we can't get caught up in all that stuff of letting out minds come up with some crazy stuff. I mean aren't you going to be applying with 170 odd something points or more? Girl you're gonna be straight. I'm sure my mind is itching to come up with things to make me think this is not my time, but I can't believe that right now. I'm like done with allllllllllllllllllll of my pre reqs, challenged the cna, for my hours all in a months to two months times if this ain't my time I don't know when.

Hey you guys any of you applying for the spring with points in the 150-162 range?

I was an alternate for fall this year and am just wondering if any of you have points in that range. Also can anyone who took BIO at wake recommend a teacher for me?

Thanks

I had Ms. Todd -- she's great! Really teaches you what you need to know.
