Waiting is the worst!!!!!

Published

Oh my gosh....this is terrible!!!!!! I took the NCLEX at 9 a.m on Tuesday and should get my results this morning....I can't stand it anymore! I had a dream this morning that I failed and I've been up since 4 a.m. and have been unable to get back to sleep since. I keep on checking to see if my results are in and they're not...I get more nervous each time I check....the longer I wait, the more convinced I am that I failed. Especially because I only got 75 questions. I just feel like there's no way I could have passed with only 75....120 maybe but not 75. Even going into the test, I had it in my head that if the computer shut off at 75 I failed so I guess I'm most nervous about actually getting my results because until then, there's a chance I passed but after actually getting them it's final. Does any of this make any sense? Ugh....

Waiting sucks. I took mine last friday and still haven't heard anything. The first time I took mine.. I knew the day after I took them. I have no idea what the hold up is. So.. we're in the same boat. Good luck and let us know when you find out!

Congratulations bean76!!!! I read your latest posting that says you passed. I can understand and relate....I am waiting for my test results to come by tomorrow and I cannot sleep or think about anything else but the fact that I am sure that I failed!!! I got 75 Questions but I didn't know the answers to half of those questions....I felt like it was a complete guessing game and that more than likely i failed. Good job to you...

Keep in mind that both passers and failers tend to only get about 50% of the questions right. Check out this sticky if you haven't already:

Thanks a lot for the encouragement....I wish it would make the nausea go away but I do appreciate it! Thanks for the sticky (I don't know what "sticky" stands for, but I got it!

I wish there was a cut and dry way of knowing whether or not you passed...you know???

im all in the same boat. i took my test yesterday and trying to get over the post traumitc disorder.i thought that they are short on nurses.. by the time we acutally become nurses. i think we will all have ulcers and headaches just from worrying .... this is not going to help at all.!
