Waiting to take NCLEX

Published

Hello to everyone.. I've read alot of posts in here and I am nervous like the rest of you waiting to take the NCLEX..I am scheduled for the 16th of Jan. I thought about waiting to take it, but then I was afraid I'd forget some stuff from school..I struggled really hard in school and it was along hard year, but I made it by the grace of GOD !! So now I am going over the Saunders book, but my friend just took it and she said the Saunders didn't help..So now I am freaking out, I'm not sure how to study now..Also I was told that there are several fill in the blank questions !! I'm hoping not or I am in BIG trouble..Any advice would be helpful..Thanks

oh and by the way eldragon 800 on the hesii is actually really good y school says not to take the test until u reach at least 750

tinacolada305 - please let us know the minute you find out how you did.

20 select all that apply? Really?

How many pharm questions?

I do really well with Saunders, so it figures the questions are different!

Congrads!!!!:monkeydance:

eldragon

yes at LEAST 20 select all that apply i got no pharm actually one and it was one of the select all that apply

all the other pharm was dosage and calculation....

im so bummed...

i was an honor student

and even the one who gave a speech a graduation and for me to fail at 85 if i did ....

ill feel so stupid

and like a complete failure

i really wish it kept going and asked me some more questions

suposedly the longer you take on each question the less you get the quicker you go through them the more they give you! i was there for almost 2 hours

Tina - relax! You probably passed, and there is nothing you can do now anyway.

I personally do not think 20 choose all that apply questions is reasonable, but who is asking me to decide?

:specs:

Again, you probably passed. And in the unlikely event that you didn't, you'll just study some more and re-take the test.

When will you find out?

Alpha Dog,

Good luck to you when you take the test..I have also beed doing about 150 questions a day..I'm hoping it is helping..Only 12 days to go..Starting to panic..I have been doing good on most of the questions but struggling on some diseases..Figure I'll pull my pharm book out on this last 5 days and go over stuff I haven't seen before

Tina....I am sure you did great on the test..They say if it shuts off at 85 then thats a good thing. I hate the select all that apply too I am always forgetting 1 or 2...How long till you get your results? Congratulations I am sure you passed.

I can't imagine being in California and waiting so long to get results back, that would drive me insane

Tina- how'd the nclex go???

Our school didn't require us to take a Hesi exam. We did take a mock exam of the nclex pn from ATI testing but that didn't count towards our grade. I thought I did horrible on the exam but it turned out that I did okay. I didn't even study or practice questions before the mock exam. During the test, I was getting tired and restless from sitting and reading the questions and trying to choose the best answers. I was also beginning to lose focus because all I wanted to do was use the bathroom and my stomach was growling for food. Anyway when we got our results, I was surprised. According to my score, ATI testing determines that I have a 90% probability of passing the nclex pn for the first try. This is not exact either but that mock exam really brought my confidence level down.

So while I also await for my letter of elibility...I've been using the Saunders Comprehensive review too...I usually do the 100 question Exam mode and choose all under content area and I score pretty low...63%, 50%, 59%...But when I chose one body system (GI) and did the 100 Q exam mode, I did waaaaaay better..73%...Does anyone know why that is???
