Waiting.........

Published

Hi all, I just need to vent, sooo thanks for listening.

This waiting is killing me. Here it is already June and no "letter" yet.

Most everyone from my A&PII class has heard (rejected), but I haven't. Every time I call admissions I get "your application is Complete and Being reviewed" boy my transcript must be long....LOL:bugeyes:

Well thanks for letting me rant...

hey kare,

look at it this way- no news is good news!! i know you are probably tired of hearing that, but it is true in this case. if all you have heard about is rejections from your classmates, then you don't want the letter!! :nono: you want to wait until they send out acceptance letters. :yeah: i know that it seems to take forever to get it, but believe me, the wait after getting the letter and before ns starts is really killer!!! :uhoh3: good luck and keep us posted~

Laura,

Thanks so much for the reply. I know no news is good news, but......

It is just so hard, this is the third time I have applied and I am just sooo ready for this new journey to begin. (if it is a no go, then I need to start thinking about plan B or C or D......)

I always imagined the individuals on the review board to be "old men with white wigs".... they probably misplaced their monoculars and cant read your transcript right now or their hands are so badly strikken with arthritis that they can't scratch their heads to decide whether to let you in or not....LOL

(I know I am weird and have a vivid imagination LOL)

HANG IN THERE!!!!!

Kare,

I, and I am sure a lot of others, are sending good vibes your way!!! What type of program are you looking at, and what are the requirements? I applied 2 times at my CC for the ADN program, and basically, they went by GPA, NET scores and pre reqs. It is based on a point system, and I knew that the first time I applied, I didn't have enough points. This second time, I got all my pre reqs done and out of the way so I could make sure that I had all the points that I could, considering I didn't have a 4.0. Anyway, like I said above, keep us posted and I will keep you in my prayers~

stpauli,

Sometimes we all have to have a vivid imagination and be weird just to get through life. There is nothing wrong with that!!!:lol2:

Hang in there...your's will be here before you know it.

I completely understand, the wait is the hardest part. But you worked hard and have faith. Did you apply @ one program or a couple?

Thanks all for the responses and support. I really appreciate it.

I just heard from one of my friends, she was accepted for the spring(got her letter on thursday) and orientation is next Friday. I feel like they forgot me...but admissions keeps saying "complete and being reviewed"

Any advice????

Kare

You know about a month ago, all my friends had received their letters of acceptance to my # 1 choice of schools, (I applied @ about 6 different programs). I kept running to the mailbox everyday waiting for that damn letter and it finally came and again stated that I was on the waiting list. I was about to just give up and change majors as I had been advised to by friends in the past. Wouldn't you know that once I just gave it up to God and quit worrying about it, the school called me and stated that I was off the list and in the program. I don't know if your religious but in my case it helped. I also put thought into what classes I needed to get my BSN in the mean time or when and where to apply to an LVN or ER tech program that way I would in a related field while waiting. Good luck and hang in there. ;)
