Waiting for a letter from Forsyth Tech for ADN Fall 2012

Hi everyone,

I've heard that Forsyth Tech usually sends out letters pretty quickly, beginning about a week from the deadline. I've also heard that A LOT of people -- even more than the 350 applicants in spring 2012 -- have applied for fall. I'm on pins and needles waiting for good news. If anyone else receives a letter, could you post?

Okay everyone, I spoke with Ms. Groome the admissions lady for Forsyth. I was getting really antsy since we haven't heard anything and I know for a fact they usually send them out MUCH sooner than this. Anyway, she said the lady that used to do it that is all she had to do now there are several of them doing it and it is taking a while. NO letters have been sent out yet and she is expecting them to go out by next week. That being said I don't know when the deadline to accept will be or when the orientation will be. I assumed from Ms. Adams that it was supposed to be by March 28th. I know the last time I was admitted in the fall the deadline to have our background checks was April 15th and we had to have the orientation meeting before then to know how to go about the background check. I'm not sure what they are doing and how they expect to do all of this unless they have moved some dates out. I am really surprised at how long it is taking them to get these letters out, but atleast we all know that we haven't been overlooked and aren't receiving a letter! lol I will keep you posted on the status of any letter I might receive and I hope you guys will too.

I applied for the LPN to RN completion program. I received my acceptance letter in the mail today! Good luck to all of you and I hope to see you guys in orientation March 28th!

Congrats HelloKittyLPN! I will see you in orientation March 28th! I emailed Mrs. Groome as soon as I got my letter, before I even read through the packet. She said I was the first to respond LOL!

Did you both apply for the LPN to RN? I'm not sure if they have the same orientation date or not. I think their track is a little bit different from the straight RN program, but they may have the same orientation date just a different time. Wow I am really surprised that they are having orientation so soon. Not giving us too much time to think about our acceptance are they? lol What were your scores if I may ask? Thanks for letting us know. I kind of figured we would start hearing something by the end of this week. She just said next week so we wouldn't be calling! Good luck to you guys it is really really hard. You can't just listen in class and learn to be honest they don't teach you alot about what's on the tests. The best thing to do is get a NC-CLEX study guide and study those questions. You get those down and you will be good.
