The MA BON received my application yesterday and now I play the waiting game for my number from Pearson Vue. I am extremely anxious, and hope I did all my paperwork right!
How long does it usually take to get a number once all the applications are sent in?
I'm in Charlotte. I believe they do it by school/city because my entire class got their ATT's within the same hour. I'm not sure if this is any interest to you but the earliest test date for Charlotte was the 26th and the earliest for Winston Salem was Jan 21st. WS is filling a little slower I think? But Charlotte students are taking the Winston appts. So I would definitely check with pearson to be sure they have your email address correct. You can also log in to see if it changed from "New" to "Schedule". This indicates an ATT was sent.
There were two that I know of that didn't get their ATT's. One had not registered at all for Pearson and is still waiting because she registered the day after we all received the ATT. The other registered on the 28th and hasn't gotten it yet. I believe there is a delay from the time you register (about 72 hours I'm guessing). I'm sure the holidays have slowed it down. But the longer you wait to sign up with pearson and pay the $200 the longer it takes to get the ATT.
They don't always make it clear that you have to pay the BON the app fee to take the NCLEX and then you have to pay the $200 to pearson on top of that. I only found out after surfing allnurses about where my ATT was.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Abishag
I am in the Winston Area and have a job lined up to start the first week of February. My biggest concern is missing that orientation start date. I am hoping Monday will be the day. Seems like nobody from my class has received them. Did you check Raleigh by any chance? I would be willing to go there too. Good Luck with your NCLEX and let us know how it turns out for you!
I am waiting for my ATT as well... I sent all of my info out on Dec 7, 2009 certified mail and I received my certified mail receipt on Dec 16, 2009. I have been going to the my school's library in the meantime to study and do questions..... It's so hard to wait, but I am patient as well. I can't wait to receive my ATT so I can schedule for the NCLEX...:typing Good Luck to everyone... We can do this together!!!!
it depends on what time of the year you send it. if you send it around May or Decemeber it might take longer than expected because they are swamped with applications from new graduates around that time. Since you sent yours in towards december ending and they probably have numerous applications from december graduates, it might take about a month to receive your ATT. But make sure you call them once in a while to check the status of your application and make sure there are no issues delaying the processing of your application
FYI for those in NC waiting on ATT's. One of my classmates found out hers didn't go through because she didn't enter her SSN on the Pearsonvue site (it said "optional" so she chose not to place it there). Anyhow, it seems to be a problem with matching the roster up for NC and its ongoing each semester. They can't get it changed or else it would be required for all states. Soooo from what I heard they are hoping that anyone that didn't put their SSN should have theirs by this weekend.
Good luck!

I'm in NC and I'm waiting on some paperwork to be processed so I can receive my license. The woman I spoke to at the BON said she's be out of the office for a week or more during the holidays. It might take a bit longer this time of year than normal to receive your ATT.
