hello everyone,

I applied last june for NCLEX-RN Fl BON,and I register in pearson vue already, they said I will just wait for att then i could schedule my exam.May i ask anybody... how long will i wait to get att?? its been 2 mos.:zzzzz

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Was it June 07 or Jun 08 you applied. It is recommended as foreign nurses not to register with pearsonvue until you get eligibility from BON. Average processing times for BON is 4-6 months. I take it you have already got CES as Florida will not touch your application without it

I got my credentials evaluated jsilny& asso. here in florida. Then i filed my application last june 2008.I might got amistake as i read the instruction..file to BON at the same time register at pearson vue:confused:,Just waiting an email from them this week, then if i didnt receive any I will call.

Thank you for you help:wink2:

As a foreign nurse it takes usually a few months before you will get ATT, we don't recommend registering until you get eligibility. If trained in the US then you can register with pearsonvue when you put in your application as it doesn't take long but different when trained overseas. I would give it a bit longer. Did you do the cred eval before your application? Also have you sent in your English exam results?. This is what it says about Florida and foreign trained http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/nur_foreign.html

Yes Maam,i send my credential's to Josef silny & asso..Then i get the result, saying it is equivalent to US degree..so then i submit my application to BON.

I did'nt take english exam.Since, written there that philippines and some other country are not required any further proof of english competency when applying for the examination.Correct me if im wrong.

Sil,Im RN back in the philippines(i live in florida now)and working there for almost 2 years. So I missed my work.I know im being impatient:)just want to take the exam soon.Did a little review everyday and Planning to review suzzane tips...but first i need that ATT to join:wink2: Please help me to pray...il be able to sit on that exam and pass.

I really appreciate your help:wink2:

i feel your pain. i'm also waiting for california to issue my att since june 2008. i followed-up with the ca brn and they told me for foreign students it will take 12-20 weeks to process. maybe florida has roughly the same amount of test takers as california. so you may have to wait just as long.

i really don't know what is worse....the waiting for the exam or the exam. when i took the local board it was definitely the waiting for the results. now it's the waiting to take the nclex. ok, so i'm a little impatient. but everyday i hope that i'll be lucky enough to open my email and i hear i got my att. :yeah:

good luck to everyone!!

not sure if you have written the nle, but ca is now requiring that before they will permit one to sit for the nclex-rn exam.

Can still take a few months to go through the process with Florida even after getting cred val done. You are just going to have to wait a bit longer for ATT

yes, i have taken the nle and passed it :clpty:. thank you for asking. even though i am a us citizen, i did not want to be questioned years from now as to why i didn't take the local board exam. by taking and passing the exam i am insulated from future changes in state laws when it comes to license eligibility ... hopefully.

i saw the nle as a pre-test to the nclex. even though they are 2 different exams there should be some similarity at least in the fundamental nursing areas (medical and nursing practice questions). if anything it gave me a chance to channel my emotions and efforts for a national exam.

Glad to hear that you wrote it, as CA now requires it before they will permit one to test. If a dual citizen, it is required now, and if not a dual citizen, it is now requiring special approval from them and they are wanting the exam written in most cases.

Best of luck to you.

the problem with some BON they wont send you the eligibility unlike california they will send you packet. this was my experince with north carolina they have this tracking online on the aplication status they have recieved all my documents for my eligibility, but i waited to receive the packet so that i can register with the pearsonvue, after 3 months i received nothing so i tried to email the NC BON if i am eligiblie to take, IMAGINE THE REPLY FROM BON....you will only be eligible if you pay $200 at pearsonvue. so if only i register earlier i would have my ATT earlier also but i was expecting they will send me the eligibility packet like the california.
