I just got off the phone with the Dean of Barton College School of Nursing in Wilson NC.
I was offered a full time teaching position, and am on cloud nine.
As many of the frequent readers know I have a BSN and am just starting my MSN program, and I never thought I could land a full time faculty position so quickly. Two weeks ago, I thought all the doors were closed, and even finding a adjunct faculty position would be difficult, then, poof, this position came available and I was at the right place at the right time.
I will be taking over the skills lab, teaching some of the fundamentals lectures and doing 2 clinicals a week, and student advising.
Thanks for all the support I recieved from you all in the past 2 weeks, and I am proud to be associated with you as a peer (albeit a junior peer).:balloons:

Those of you regulars have probably seen my name over the past few weeks writing about my frustration in finding a position at a college.
Well, the stars all lined up and today I had an interview with the dean of the nursing program, and it went well, and this afternoon she asked me if I could meet with her and the VP of academic affairs in the morning.
I hope this is a good sign, and a full time faculty position is coming my way.
Please say a prayer for me tonight if you are enclined, I would appreciate it.
