Wagner second degree Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys!

I'm posting this for everyone who is applying to Wagner's second degree nursing program for Fall 2017. Just wanted to know how many have applied, gone through interviews etc?

I was told that they accept students with teas score anywhere from 60 to high 90s. But minimum is 60. I don't think the TEAS weighs heavily on their decision. I am anxiously waiting as well' as I interviewed in late feb!

P.S. has anyone called or emailed with admissions staff to find out if they have started sending out letters yet?

They will start sending out decisions this week. That school is so expensive but the education is worth it. I live in Queens so it will be a major hike. The letters will be sent out this week. Just remain positive that is all I can tell everybody.

Does anyone know if the school can take back a conditional acceptance even if you meet and exceed all prerequisites? Havnt taken my teas yet, i interviewed first week of march and was told id hear back this week. So nervous!

The best way to know is by getting in touch with admissions.

Does anyone know if Wagner weighs the pre- req gpa heavier than the over all gpa or how they look at your application? I know most schools do a holistic approach but wasn't sure how it works for Wagner. If anyone has feed back on this.. help!!

Well, this is why I asked about TEAS averages for the incoming class. My overall GPA is not competitive but by some grace, was given an interview. My pre-req grades were competitive/ok and have a year of CNA experience. At the end of my interview, I was urged to take the TEAS asap. I moved my exam up to early March and got a 90 (98%tile).

So I think (and hope) TEAS does affect their decision if you have a non competitive GPA. I presume a conditional acceptance means you just need to pass their TEAS 60% benchmark and/or whatever pre-req courses you have left with a C or higher, and voila, you're in.

Hi guys I got my acceptance in the mail today!! :) so excited

Woohoo!! Congrats girl! I got my acceptance as well :)

Awesome congrats to you too!!! :)

Yay' congrats! Omg I'm so nervous! Anyone else hear back? Where do you live maybe it's a proximity thing with the letters?

I live in Staten Island. The letter is marked March 30th and I received it in the mail today. Also, we should all stay connected and make a FB Group for the 2017-2018 Nursing Program :)
