I just submitted my application, anyone else looking into this program? Wondering how much they weigh TEAS scores vs. GPA vs. experience?
I finally got my letter of acceptance from Wagner! I had an interview last week with them and I was told I was conditionally accepted but wanted to have it in writing before I got excited. I'm almost positive I'll be attending here, I want to hear from UMDNJ before I make a final decision, but I would love it if i was. I'll be a commuter from NJ if I were to go there but I'm excited nonetheless!! hope I get to meet those that are accepted. Here's to our future!
When I went in for the interview they said it would basically be an 8-5 or 9-5 type of thing and that they weren't sure if it would be Mon-Thurs and Mon-Friday. I was also told that there could be some Saturdays. I'm still waiting to hear from another school to decide whether I'm going to Wagner or there.
I know, I can't wait to start! Housing however is still an issue.
You might try the local Staten Island newspaper (Staten Island Advance) to look at apartment classified listings. Being mostly one, two and multi-family homes lots of people rent out half of a house type apartments. These are built as two or three family homes. Avoid at all costs places that have carved up "rooms" out of larger apartments. These are not only illegal but dangerous.

I will be taking two buses (short trips) to the s53 and then once on the s53 in bay ridge, its always about 30 minutes or so. I hope that will be the case. I can plan to commute during off hours: if we have class at 8, 9 or 10am, I will leave way earlier to beat traffic, allotting study time in the AM. If I have a late class, I would go again during off peak hours (12pm for instance). As far as traffic, we are in school, so we are on our own schedule. You can always beat traffic- getting to Wagner earlier means study time! Precious to nursing students.
