WA Endorsement Process - Longest in the Nation???

Does anyone have any insight as to why Washington State takes SOOO long to endorse a license?  I've been waiting over 6 weeks, and know someone who is still waiting and applied 4 MONTHS ago.  Initially the Department of Health told me 4 weeks.  Once 4 weeks hit they told me 4-6 weeks.  Now that I'm at 6 weeks they told me 8-12 weeks.  Now other people I know in the process have said the DOH won't even give them any time frame.  I have a job offer and have delayed my start date three times because the DOH keeps prolonging the processing times for applications.  I'm starting to worry I'm going to lose the offer if I have to keep postponing.  Anyone have any knowledge into this process?  Anyone else in the process too and waiting?

Not sure why it took so long, but relieved to finally have it!

I can totally relate! I applied September 6, 2021 and it's already November 17 and I'm still waiting. They said they are understaffed. How did your license go overall since I noted this post is from 2021? Thanks

Mine took about 3.5 months and finally updated on the website. I was refreshing multiple times per day.
