VIU sept 2015

Published

Im creating this thread for any students who have applied to any nursing schools in BC for sept 2015 intake. Ive applied to various schools around the province, so now im just waiting. I have a positivish energy towards acceptance but who knows. Im just wondering if there is anyone else out there is who in the same boat? Particularly, does anyone know anything specific to TRU, VIU or CNC for this year? Thanks !

Congrats lkitchener, surf_gal, WDanae and to many others :)!! This is so exciting!

Thanks rkd101! !

TRU Made a huge error in their admission notices but fortunately I was one of the accepted.

WDanae that is good to hear! I am curious what error was made by TRU?!

They sent acceptance letters to all their Nursing Program applicants.

So then the retraction letters were emailed to around 400 that evening saying it was a mistake. This was last Thursday.

Just a computer error on the University's system but I can feel for the people that were "accepted" then Informed that they weren't.

Anyone else heading to VIU in September?!!

Hi All,

I also got into VIU for September so I will be seeing you all there!! Looking forward to it so much and if anyone has any suggestions for apartments in the nanaimo area or good areas to live in I would appreciate the help!!

YAH!!!! CONGRATS TO ALL!!!!

Not too sure about other areas of Nanaimo but I live downtown just off commercial street and I love it! It is great, there are many food options within walking distance and the sea walk is only a block away. Port Place Mall is also within walking distance which is awesome! There is everything you need there Thriftys, London Drugs, a large Walk-In Clinic, Starbucks, BCL etc. I have lived in North Nanaimo before and think it would be extremely inconvenient for VIU, it is also just inconvenient in general, everything is big box stores and nothing is really walkable. I can only function in that area driving everywhere.

If you are looking for a condo to rent my favourite buildings are Studio NA, Pacifica (very expensive but gorgeous), and Vevo. There are also some places on Cameron Island that have spectacular views but the rent is even higher than Pacifica which is a newer building.

Registered for courses today! Anyone else in Group A?

Got a call today and they offered me a spot at VIU!!! Guess I'll be heading to Nanaimo instead of Kamloops. Whoo. See ya'll soon!

So late to this party but just stumbled across this website and I'm headed to VIU this Sept for Nursing! So excited and nervous!
