Does anyone out there know how long the wait times are to attain a visascreen. I received a letter today from CGFN stating that they have received my application for VS ..... and that included was a graph that showed wait times from i think 2004. well there was nothing else in the envelope so I am wondering if anyone knows this info or a link that i can use to access the info

Took CG Certification exam Nov 9, 2005. The results released Dec 12, 2005. Got my CGFNS CERTIFICATE Feb 3, 2006. But even while waiting for the CG certificate, I already had my visa screen processed (Dec 17, 2005) since I have my IELTS already. Got my VISA SCREEN Certificate Feb 23, 2006.

Funny enough, I got hold of my VISA SCREEN 3 days earlier than my CGFNS certificate. Maybe the ICHP people (a branch of CG) mailed their PAPERS faster than the CGFNS proper.

N.B.

I do my transactions with CGFNS ONLINE.... and PAID dues via CREDIT CARD....

Maybe this is one reason why it is FASTER.

Hi,

Last year i submiited everything i needed for the visascreen and all i needed were my nclex results. i found out a few days ago that i passed. I was just wondering what my next step is....am i supposed to send a letter to my bon for verification of my license asap? or do i have to wait for my license to come into the mail first? I hope after that it won't take too long! i'm so excited.

Just get the BON to forward results for VSC, they have to do it, just pay any fees

Congratuations on passing the NCLEX exam.

But be aware that the applicaton for the VSC is only valid for one year and not sure how long ago that you sent in the application to them.

For others reading this, always better to wait until you have passed the licensing exam before sending in the application or you could be responsible for additional fees and for no reason at all.

As mentioned above, the state actually has to send the information to CGFNS by using the license verification form, they never accept anything like this from you. You do not need to wait for a license number, they are only interested that you have passed.

My VSC application expires at the end of July, so i'm hoping it will be completed by then. I've printed off a licensure verification form and sent it to the minnesota BON along with the 20USD fees. Yay i'm so excited!
