Hello nurses. I have visa screen certificate but do not have a state license. I wonder if I still can get a license? and which US state will give me one? Thanks

visa screen certificate will not get you a state license. You need to meet state requirements and pass NCLEX before even considered for one and even then some states will not issue a license without a US SSN
Thanks. So does it mean i have to retake the NCLEX exams again to get a license?
If you already have passed NCLEX then what state did you sit the exam for?
I took the California NCLEX exam and it requires a SSN to get a license..I got the visa screen certificate instead. But now, I'm just wondering if i still can get a state license with just the visa screen certif to prove I already passed the NCLEX exam..
Which ever state you apply to will have their own requirements, they may accept visa screen certificate but may still require some assessment like CES report as that shows a breakdown on your transcripts. You really need to look at the state BON website and even ask them the question
It all depends on the state which I am applying to, yeah? Well thanks for the info. :)

So your question is - are there any states that will issue an RN license to applicants with no SSN?
Yes and do they issue a license if only the visa screen certif is available as proof that i have passed the NCLEX exams..
But you have proof with the state you took the exam with. Some states do accept VSC but still require some verification from the state you sat the exam with
Well, actually my nclex exam has already expired. All i have left is the VSC. Do you know which state does not require verification from the state I took the exam with?

None. All require you to transfer NCLEX results or retake the exam ?
