Have none but I am saddened to see that this type of thing is getting more common. I think the attourneys who are in these firms are the same as ambulance chasers and are acting immorally. How can they be allowed to advertise this sort of thing? The next youll see is the FDA freaks and pulls it off the market. NEVER MIND the many the drug DOES help. The side effects of any med is a risk. We have to weigh risk vs benefit.

lawyers wouldnt be bringing these cases to court if they didnt have sue happy clients.

I just had my Vioxx refilled, and was not told that it had been pulled off the market. Haven't heard anything about a stroke or MI occurring either.

I imagine somebody's Doc took them off their daily ASA because they were on an NSAID...never mind that Vioxx has NO anti-platelet aggregation properties.

It is still on the market but if you have known risk factors for heart disease or stroke you shouldn't be on it. They took my mom off and put her on Mobic instead. Sounds like one of those deals where the media took a research report and took insignificant findings and blew them out of proportion and some sceevey group of lawyers decided to start ambulance chasing again!!!!!

How about this...I saw a news item on a local website that was talking about a drug bust. It then listed the names of the individuals and what they were busted for. Kinda like:

Billy X, 54, marijuana

Sammy R, 23, cocaine and crack

Harold L, 20, VIOXX ????????

Since when is vioxx involved in a narcotic bust? Ya think they screwed up?!

yeah it apparently is a group of lawyers trying to drum up a class action suit.

Yeah... *sigh* I got taken off of Vioxx, too. Well, my insurance didn't pay for it, but my doc took pity on me and just loaded me up with tons of samples.

That stuff WORKS, that's the thing! It's the closest thing to actual relief of pain I've had since New Years Eve 1999-2000 (I drank a WHOLE lot and nothing hurt from the time I got drunk until I went to sleep). I also have a lot of trouble sleeping, partially because I always feel so cold. When I took a Vioxx before I went to bed - ahhhh, I felt warm and I slept all night long.

But I am having trouble controlling my HTN and I've been troubled with pedal edema for the last couple of years. *sigh*

Nothing else works as well for me.

They only took my mom off cause she is at risk for stroke and is on plavix and asa among a million other things. That was the only thing that helped her arthritis as well. Figures right Dennie???? Find something that works and whamo they take you off it!!
