Villanova BSN EXPRESS 2021

Published

I haven’t seen a discussion yet for Villanova BSN EXPRESS for May of 2021, so I decided to write one?. Has anyone applied or going to apply ?

Does anyone who interviewed recently remember when the next batch of applications/interviews are being reviewed by the admissions committee? I had an interview on July 28th and she said I’d hear an answer after the next meeting but I forget when that was, seemed like it was every few weeks.

Due to covid it’s hard to say, just email ------------------ and ask, she’s a sweetheart and would be happy to tell you.

Hi~ I found this forum and decided to follow.

I just learned about Villanova's BSN Express program and started on my application. Going to submit maybe by the end of August.

My undergrad GPA in psychology is 2.65, which is horrible. But for the required pre-reqs, it's a 3.42. I still need to complete anatomy, chem, stats and pathophysio.

I hope there's still spots left since I'll be submitting my app after the priority deadline.

I'm from San Francisco, CA btw ?

Hi, I'm doing chem, anatomy and stats this fall. And then I'll do pathophysio during Spring semester before the program starts.

Oh great . I would get in touch with --------------------- she handles the applications and talk to her about grades and etc. have you had any volunteer experience or work in the health field?

Do you think I can still apply with a low undergrad GPA? My pre-req grades are mostly As. I forwarded ------------------- my unofficial transcripts.

Also, does anyone know how many students are accepted in the program?

I do have some volunteer experience in and out of the hospitals.

Their deadline is I think October 31st by mid November the regular decisions should be made so if your fall grades could be in by the 31st then I would wait until you raise your GPA up a bit, because trust me if they see you worked hard for good grades to raise your GPA it means something to them. They accept around 80ish students per cohort and it is competitive because it’s truly a great program.

if you are looking to other possible options in pa I would look at Gwynedd mercy after you finish fall semester.

But doesn’t fall grades get released around December? I emailed ------------ already. How long does she take to reply back?

Thank you for your school suggestions

Yes they do get released in December, so it’s best if you speak to ------------------ or the director (Def talk to the director) to see if it’s worth it and what you should do. And because of covid and everything they may be busy with fall semester about to start soon. I would give her a day or so☺️.

It says on their website:

Prospective students should have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher from their previous degree program to be considered for the Second Degree Accelerated BSN (BSNExpress).

However, do ask -----------------! She's extremely kind and helpful ?

ya I emailed -------------- my transcripts and I told her my concern about my GPA. she didn’t say anything about it. she just told me what’s missing for prerequisites
