Hi, my name is Mike. I'm opening this thread to connect with other people who are applying or have been accepted to the BSNExpress program at Villanova for Spring 2015. Feel free to share any thoughts and suggestions you might have and to ask questions. Hopefully this forum can serve as a way for us to get to know each other a bit prior to the start of the program.

My letter wasn't in the mail today. Grrr. Warriortac?

Same. My application was updated Tuesday that it was sent out and I live less than a mile from the University...

@lisa15307 That's good to know. I still have to take nutrition so I'll see what's available. I agree with Villanova being a great value. Check out how much Penn charges for the same amount of time, it's ridiculous!

FYI tocana, gerrly, and warriortac, I think my letter was dated Oct.1 and arrived on Oct. 4 and I'm in Philly. I think mail goes out in batches so hopefully by tomorrow/Sat it should arrive. Sending good luck vibes!

JoeJoe3, I read that they put you on probation after you fail a class and dismiss you if your GPA drops below a certain point. Are you saying you failed one test and they dismissed you? Also, any reason why you started two other threads with that same comment?

Yeah I'm about 5 miles from VU.

I saw UPenn's program cost (thought I'd think about it since I work at CHOP). It's over $100k!! Right? I checked multiple times. It's more than the medical school. Cheapest around here is West Chester, but you can't really beat the prestige of Nova (except maybe Penn, but that debt).

^^^Yes it is! I was floored when I saw that. It's weird also because when I was deciding where to apply Pen's website did not grab me as much as Villanova. The general consensus that I've heard is that Penn's premium is wayyyy more than it's worth.

I also worked at CHOP a few years ago, and was there over the summer working with a fellow on my thesis. What department are you in? I was at 3535.

Awesome! I'm in Abramson in human genetics research. I've dabbled in clinical and LOVE it, hence the move towards that side of the coin.

gerrly, nothing yet! I am off of work the next few days so I will more than likely be staring out my front window waiting for the postman! LOL.

Good call out Sweetem, I would also like to know what JoeJoe3 is referring to.
