Hi! I just received my acceptance letter to the BSNExpres to start this May!!! I am so excited. I was an absolute nervous wreck waiting to hear back from them.
I was also accepted to Jefferson and Drexel but as soon as I heard back from Villanova I was so happy! It was my first choice.
Do you live in the Philadelphia area? Or will you be moving here?

congrats!
I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia (greater northeast) with my boyfriend, so I will be commuting to Villanova (mostly by car, possibly by train some of the time). How about you?

I received my Villanove BSN Express acceptance this week too. I'm really excited, but still detabating Jeff vs. Villanova. Why are you guys so set on Villanova over Jeff?
Mb835.... my advice is pick the one that you feel most comfortable in. I heard people say good things and bad things about Jefferson, Drexel and Villanova. So I decided to visit each school and pick the one that I saw myself comfortable in. Personally, they all have excellent reputations.
I live about ten minutes away from Villanova so I will drive and take the train if it's a snowy day. I am so anxious to start! I know our lives are going to be insane but I am so happy to finally be in Nursing school! I am waiting on my information packet, did you get yours? I'm assuming thats when I'll find out if I am in the day or evening session. Do you know which one you are in?

I thought the night sessions were for the other program (alternate sequence curriculum?)...not sure though! I didn't get my info packet yet!

I really liked to hear what the students were saying about Villanova, vs. what the students were saying about Jeff...I talked to a few people in the Jeff program who said although overall they were happy, it was really disorganized and chaotic as far as class and clinical schduling went at times. I also fell in love with Villanova's facilities (their new nursing school is AMAZING), and felt that a 14 month program would be a better fit for me!

I could be wrong. During the open house a current student told me that they divide the total students into day/evening sections. I could be completely wrong, but I thought that was how they did it. Maybe they just rotate some of the classes or clinicals....? I guess we will just have to wait and see.... ahh I hate waiting!

Congrats!! Well that is going to be a hard decision! Both are great schools and excellent programs. I have not seen the John Hopkins campus so I can't give you a fair assessment. But I do know that Villanova has an unbelievable Nursing school. The facility is brand new and I fell in love with the place the second I was there. Have you visited both campuses?

I think the alternate sequence is part-time and may be at night...
