Hmmm...yeah, when I interviewed Dr. Mariani told me the basic schedule of classes/clinic, and it seemed like everybody in BSNExpress was in class during the day a few days a week, and then clinicals were chosen by the staff (you get a preference, but they end up deciding). I think the alternate sequence is part-time and may be at night...

That would make more sense.... I wonder why the student told me that? She said they had 40 day/40 night... but the night wasn't late it was around 2 or 3pm. I'm sure your right because I thought that was weird when she said that. I would like to get more info regarding the schedule I was going to call but I am going to wait until I get the packet and see what it has to say.

Are you getting a loan for school? I am in th process of looking into it right now... I have to get enough to cover my car payment and insurance too.

yeah, I'm going to have to take out a loan to cover the full cost...I should be okay for living expenses, since I'm working full-time right now and I've been saving up. My undergraduate loans are insane, so it's a good thing I'm able to defer them while I'm in school again!

Is Canyon College legit? Are we allowed to take courses from there for Villanova?

Haha, well they are not recognized or accredited by the Department of Education (which is scary), but Villanova will let you take some prereqs there-- but it definitely depends on the course. I was allowed to take Pathophys, Developmental Psych, and Religion there-- but only ended up going with pathophysiology through them. I wasn't allowed to take any anatomy classes since they are very important, and I think Villanova recognizes that they aren't the most reliable program around! Check with one of the program directors for more info! :)

Yeah, I only need religion and pathophys.... so hopefully that would work. It's cheaper than villanova (obviously) and about the same as CCP. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I got my acceptance letter on the 13th! ...but that all depends on how well I do in the pathophysiology class. Did anyone register for the online class yet?

Another question: I have to find housing and was wondering if anyone knows some good local apartments...or if anyone else is looking for a place? I've already glanced at the website from Villanova about off-campus housing, I just have to call the places.

Congrats to everyone else who got accepted! :yeah:

Hi everyone! My name is Angie and I will also be starting the BSN Express program in May 2009. I will be taking the online pathophysiology course given through VU. Anyone else here taking it through VU? Does anyone know what the schedule will be like as far as classes beginning in May? Are we in school M-F? hours? I'm just curious and there doesn't seem to be much information online or on the website. Thanks! Oh- and congrats to everyone!!!!!:clphnds:

A few of my friends who graduated from Villanova recommended some apartments than many VU students stay at, but I have yet to do my research on those places. I think one of them is called Strafford Apartments.

I was going to enroll in their online Patho class until I found a local college that also offers it and saves me $1000.

Hi everyone. I also was accepted to Villanova's BSN express. I only applied to Nova. I didnt want to go anywhere else. I did my first bachelor's degree at nova so there was never a question.

There is lots of off-campus housing!! Villanova doesn't have enough housing. Most jrs and srs aren't guaranteed housing so there is plenty around.

As for the schedule, for the first week of classes we have one class from 830 until 330 i think it is. And then over the rest of the first summer session we all have class from 1030 to 230 and then either 8-1029 or 231 to 5. And we take 4 classes over that time only 2 at a time. Then the second session is class MT at nova from 830-230 and then WRF in the hospital for our first clinicals. So it is monday thru friday. So i guess that's what the day vs evening is because we will be split to go from 8-230 or 1030-5.

If anyone has any questions about life at Villanova I would be more than happy to talk to you. Congrats to everyone
