I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
I "heard" the reading material handed out at orientation is a list of conversions that we need to know like the back of our hands. We'll be tested on it not to long after classes begin.... and throughout the program.
Got the info from a current student i met on the day i went in for the physical exam.
.....I figured as much.

***Speaking of physical exam. A prospective student informed me that half the class of '07 this year", either were failing or just quit. Her cousin is in the program. I was in state of shock! Consider this "cocky" but I really didn't anticipate it to be that difficult. "Well I guess I would of been in for a rude awakening."
Each teacher gives you your 1st study guide. The material handed to you will be on your first test. Some teachers will tell you and some wont. They want to see if the students will study!
The advantage of this is on the outline they give you, it gives you a break down of what your going to do that 1st semester. So those of you who wants to pass with high marks, study ahead. Stay on top of your game because they really like that!
I dont remember when tuition is due because I got financial aid. But i'll find out!
First semester is the only semester you get alot of breaks( thanksgiving, christmas, etc). Second semester is the LONGEST semester because we have one day off. And before the third semester we get one week off. Then the third semester we have two days off.
Just pray that you have exams almost everyday because thats the only time it goes by faster.
Well it turns out the remedial classes has the headsup. They are already covering medical terminology. The instructor told them they'll be somewhat advance, because of the material covered on top of their assignment on July. I''m having a friend makes some copy for me. If its anything major or worth your while; I"ll forward it for those who are interested.

I heard that about the RN program too.. We just have to STAY focused and STUDY, study, STUDY! I'm sure we'll make it through VEEB and beyond!

Wow!!! They paid to take this class so I guess they had to get something for their money. How long is this remedial class for anyway?
Don't laugh...... a good 2weeks only. Apparently, I was informed they are covering not only medical terminology, but preparation on Nclex exam. At first I was just as confused as you all were; came to realize perhaps they felt they should get them acustom to the schools material since their entrance scores weren't so good.
Which I guess, would be a smart thing to do by getting them better prepare. Anyway, my friend is waiting for the end of their class ( this thursday), i believe. She wants to make one copy of the entire material given to them from the remedial course.
Be patient ladies....I didn't want to devulge to much info...I don't wanna press my luck on a public forum. You never know who's reading.

I agree we're going to have to stay focused. Even online we can help each other out. Study, study, study, is indeed the best way for all of us to even have a fair shot at Helen Fuld , as well.
We might not be in the same Group A/B, but we are surely going to get the same materials. Keep motivated and connected. We might just be each others greatest help.
