VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Hi everyone....

Can you please let me know what month you took the entrance exam for Veeb. I took my exam in March and currently there is a hold on the registration process for them to fill the seats in an orderly manner.:angryfire

I took the entrance exam on March 8.

When did they tell you there was a hold on the registration??

I received a letter on Friday with this wonderful news, I took my exam March 19th, I had my interview April 10th and I was told to have my down payment ready and be in there like yesterday when I receive my letter. This is not the letter I was anxiously awaiting.

I currently work at a medical facility and I meet quite a few nurses that attended this school... they all mention how intense the program is but in the end it is rewarding.

Wow.. I thought registration was closed. I interviewed on April 3rd and registered on the 20th. Are you on some kind of waiting list????

That is a nice way of putting it... they didnt actually come out and say that but that is exactly what I see it as... did they tell you registration is closed because when I call the school I can never get a straight ans from whoever answers ... patience is all I ever hear...

Is there anyone you know that interviewed after April 10th that have completed the registration process?

No one told me that. They just made it seem like classes fill up really fast so when i got the letter regarding oreintation i just assumed it was closed.

They must just have you on a waiting list. If you had no chance of getting for Sept'07 i'm sure they would have just said so. Also they may be holding a seat for someone who tested before you...that may not accept. My accepteance letter gave me a date i had to have my deposit in by or my seat would have been given to the next person on the list.

Also, I know they do hold seats for people that didn't do so great on the entrance exam and have to take the remedial classes over the summer. So you may have a chance there as well. Or maybe it could be as simple as someone not passing the drug test... You never know!

Just think positive and call every now and than and see what's going on!

GOOD LUCK!

I am currently attending VEEB and all I can say is its a good school. I live in Brooklyn and I have a one year old, its going to be hard at first but if your studying you have no problem passing. The teachers are there to help you out and to be honest they can be tough but they want to see you pass. I have never had a problem with the exams because when you attend tutoring it helps a whole lot. I have a 92 average in almost every class and the only way that happened is because alot of the students formed study group and we helped each other. If you have strong will and power all of you will pass. If you need anymore help or info just drop me a message.

Bye

Thanks so much Trini Angel for the encouragement. We keep hearing the program is sooooo intense, which all nursing programs are on a whole anyway.
