VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Can't really blame VEEB for wanting a character reference specifically. Way too many people in my opinion slip through the cracks. It's better the seats be given to people who deserve it, and in the end it costs VEEB money if someone can't stay the course.

Hey guys,

Called veeb this morning and was told that they just sent out some acceptance letters and are in the process of sending out the rest. The lady told me I should be receiving something within a few days (hopefully lol). Woo hoo!!! congrats to everyone who receives an acceptance letter this week!!!!!!! Fingers crossed.

thanks for the update, Lily....I've been checking my mailbox every day since last Wednesday...lol...

I didn't get anything yet. So I guess its the Bridge Program for me maybe:confused:

Hello Gabby,

Just wanted to tell you that I got my letter regarding the Bridge Program. Missed the passing mark by 1.0 :crying2:.

Sad, but hopeful. I'm eager to go to the orientation to see if I can still do the remedial and get in for Sept. 2010.

Hope you've heard something from Veeb by now.

To all who've been accepted.....Congrats....Hope to be joining you in Sept.

I am sure you will get in for September.

When is your orientation for the Bridge Program?

Hey guys! I was offered the bridge program. I got a 9.2 on the math and 10.8 on the english. I'm soooo ****** right now!!! The bridge program is 500 bucks and where am I supposed to get this money from, plus the 2000 for registration?!?! VEEB loves money i see!!

Specializes in Geriatric/Private Duty.

Hey Nad88,

I thought about u the other day, was going to send u a message to see how things were going. Did the letter state when u have to have the money in by? Do u pay for the bridge separate or before registration?

Yes, I agree. VEEB defintely loves the money. I guess at this point all you can do is pay it if you can if you really want to be a nurse. I'm happy you were at least offered the bridge program, so you still have a chance. If you are able to come up with the money just go for it, and hopefully I will see you in september. Good luck!!!!:)

Hey guys. As far as financial aid goes, how does the process go and what are the requirements? Cus I know I don't have 12g's. I'm just curious because I want to prepare myself on applying for financial aid and loans.

And Grindin, I'm hoping you could answer this. You've been helping me out through this whole process and making it easier on my mind which I freakin' appreciate.

I need to think positive but they will have an orientation to answer all questions on the 21st of this month. The bridge program will run for 3 weeks in June in the evening but the messed up thing is that I work nights!! I will have to really weigh my options or work some thing out my boss!! Sigh...

Nad, I'm pretty sure you will do fine.

I mean, you've worked this hard in life and I'm sure you'll make it farther. Everything will fall into place, it's just time consuming. I know I'm going to have to quit my job once school starts if I get accepted into this program. But once I get that license, I know I could get places.
