VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Is there still a possibility that you passed the entrance exam, hand in both references AND still not get in???

Only if you don't bring the deposit.

Sounds like a valid reason to me....thanks alot..hopefully the bridge course will be offered to me.. I studied for the exam, been out of school for over 24 years, guess I didn't study hard enough . I will keep you posted..thanks for the info.

We are around the same age, and I am finishing up my 2nd semester. Don't beat yourself up, you may be offered the bridge program depending on how close you came to passing. It's not over yet, keep hoping!

Hello Gabby,

Just wanted to tell you that I got my letter regarding the Bridge Program. Missed the passing mark by 1.0 :crying2:.

Sad, but hopeful. I'm eager to go to the orientation to see if I can still do the remedial and get in for Sept. 2010.

Hope you've heard something from Veeb by now.

To all who've been accepted.....Congrats....Hope to be joining you in Sept.

Listen, you are in if you can pass the bridge program. You are pretty much guaranteed a seat as long as you pass the bridge course. They will teach you remedial math and english courses, definitely enough to pass the test. I went through the same thing last year missed math by .05. had an 8.5 due to being out of school so many years, finished the bridge with a 10.5. Only study to pass the bridge program, they will give you take home work, and you will be fine. You will also get material to help you in first semester, but my advice to you is only focus on passing the entrance exam, after you pass you can go back and review those sheets. You are in, just pass the bridge, a seat has already been reserved for those that pass the bridge program. Stay focused! Congrats!

Hey guys. As far as financial aid goes, how does the process go and what are the requirements? Cus I know I don't have 12g's. I'm just curious because I want to prepare myself on applying for financial aid and loans.

And Grindin, I'm hoping you could answer this. You've been helping me out through this whole process and making it easier on my mind which I freakin' appreciate.

Don't worry, they have a financial aid person that handles all that. He will tell you all of what to bring. You will get a packet with his info in it, just call him and he will answer any question you have. Congrats!

Thanks praise2u for all of your advice. It is very helpful. So from what I can see, you're basically saying that if we pass the entrance exam, hand in the references, BUT still havn't received the acceptance letter, we should assume we are in, correct?

Yes, if they asked you for all of that they have a seat for you. Providing everything goes well with your references, deposit, and physical, yes you are in!

I guess we will all just have to wait and see what happen! I can tell u this when I went 2 last year when I paid my $500 people already paid their $1500 so maybe that might happen this year ?

Gabby i know, i know.....are you going to the orientation on the 21st? Don't be discouraged....

I really want to be a nurse so yes I am going to do it. I could kick my self:mad:. Its just so expensive.........

I still havn't received anything yet......the wait is agonizing :(
