Hi All,
I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
Don't even sweat the reference letters. It's a minor formality at this point and I doubt the school would even take the time to actually check references.
I'm going to be honest here, I basically got a friend from my old job to get me letterhead and I wrote the letters myself. Got a couple of former co-workers to sign and that was it. No sweat. Just make sure theres a handwritten signature, thats key.
I just checked the school site and I can't believe it's now $2,000 deposit, with $500 being non-refundable for "processing".
Is that even legal? lol
Anyways good luck to you all, get your money ready and run to VEEB as soon as you get the "acceptance" letter. It's first come first serve.
I am sooooo frustrated!! Still, NO reply!! Anyone take the test in Feb and still waiting? This is ridiculous!! I live in Franklin square so I can't understand the delay. I call and all they say is wait for it in the mail!! I giving up hope...Now, I think I failed...
Congrats to all who've rec'd their results and passed..
In the same situation...feeling nervous, still haven't rec'd my results either, took test 2/16.... Wondering if it means i didn't pass...Praying I did. Not sure exactly what the "bridge program" is, seems like a program to help you take test again...if you didn't pass...running to mailbox every single day....so we'll see...
congratulations to everyone that passed!glady17-congrats on passing!
i knew you would. where do you live? you took your test the day after me which makes me worry about whether or not i passed, since you already got your results.
miaizon-thanks for the words of encouragement regarding the bridge program. when i took the test i asked if they are having a bridge program this year and they said that they had not decided that yet. do you know what criteria they use when choosing candidates for the program?
congrats ....
haven't received my results yet...tested 2/16.....just curious, what exactly is the bridge program ? i don't remember any discussion about a bridge program on test day...

I have another question because I'm freaking out about this whole reference letter fiasco. Does the school actually call our references? And are they strict about the staionary letterhead?
I'm going crazy mow since my job won't write me a reference letter. -_-
