VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

I believe they are there until 330 mon-fri, but i would verify they aren't there until later.

As far as the applications, they are more little information packets with a test date attached. The earlier you come pick one up, the earlier your test date. I believe we could start picking up an application/packet/test date starting last week in january. Or am i off-the-mark fellow VEEBers?

This is correct! I just want to tell everyone trying to go to VEEB. Do your best on the entrance test and move fast onthe test. Many doors will open for you as a LPN and you can get into a RN program a little easier. Best of luck to you all!

My advice is to pick up an application as early as possible, so you get an early test date. The school runs on a first-come-first-served basis. I know people who actually passed the exam, but because they had a later test date, were not able to enroll because all the spots were either taken by others who had passed, or reserved for people inthe bridge program (which i personally think is ridiculous- no offense to those in the bridge program, but it is obviously just a way for the school to milk money out of people...but thats a whole 'nother topic!) Anyways, the point is, if you want to go to VEEB, the earlier your test date is, the better chance you have of getting a spot. Good luck!

I just got a test date of February 16th. Would you consider that to be early?!?!? I'm nervous!

Hi Nad88! Did you have to show proof that you graduated when you got the application?

Hi everyone,

Im new to the board. I will be taking the entrance exam for VEEB on 2/16/10.. is the test difficult? How do they score it. They told me I wouldnt know if I pass until 6 weeks after the test...omg

Hello, I'm new to the board as well. (:

When did you guys pick up your applications? I got mine today and my test date is February 9th.

And the test isn't that difficult from what people have been saying on here. It's based on 9th grade math and 11th grade reading. So your best study guide is an SAT or GED Review book. I've been using the Tabe D booklet to brush up everything.

I showed them my HS diploma and ID....I got mine today too but my test date is the 16th...I hope I get in

hey everyone!! i went to veebs today and got a test date for feb 9th i have a SAT book i will be studying i hope i pass the exam!

I got my test date for Feb. 17. Im nervous about the test. I took it before and failed

To "study" for the entrance exam I would just go to the library and take out a GED refresher book or something along those lines. Time more than difficulty of the test, will be your enemy.
