Hi All,
I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.
What are the Teachers like?
What are the required books?
Is the program as intense as they say?
Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?
Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?
Do they provide job Placement at the end???
Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!
Please correct me if I'm wrong, what I see is the influenza shot is mandatory except in nursing homes, and the h1n1 shot is recommended. How can they make us take something against our will.
look at this as well and tell me what you think http://www.nysna.org/practice/faqs/flu_faqs.htm

This is from NY state

We will be doing clinicals in Hospitals as well as Nursing homes. I was told by VEEB instructors that I have the right not to take the vaccine. However, if I don't get the H1N1 (when availible) then I won't be allowed to go to clinicals. SO I really dont have a choice do I???
No you don't have a choice, lets just hope this vaccine doesn't come out! NYS is to blame for this, not so much VEEB. However, I do think that they should not count our absences when home with a fever and doctor's note from side effects.
What's gonna happen to those that are alergic to eggs and jello? They are unable to receive the shots. IS VEEB not going to allow them at clinicals?:icon_roll

this thread is undergoing major editing, as many have posted email addresses, solicitations and have named instructors.
all three are violations of this site's terms of service.
please take a few moments to click on the link above and review the terms of service (tos), to which you agreed when you registered.
a small portion of the tos:
no potentially libelous information about specific schools, instructors, or health care facilities/entities should be posted in these forums. while it is important to be able to network, everyone should be mindful of the following:
it is a small world - when we narrow it down to a state and throw in some personal info, there is actually a pretty good chance someone may recognize you if you are not careful. your privacy is paramount to us.
while allnurses.com is a wonderful place to vent (without excess personally identifiable details) it is not the place to express why ("x" specific person, place or program) is terrible. gripe away, but since we cannot permit allegations to be made about named entities, your care in not naming them is very much appreciated.
please do not give out personal information about others. do not name names where anyone could identify the person in any facility including your nursing programs.
advertising or self promotion:
we do not allow any form of commercial advertising in the bulletin board post, avatars, or signatures.
posting e-mail addresses:
we do not allow members to post their email address, if you would like to have someone contact you personally, please use the private message system that is included with your account. if you do post email addresses, they will be removed.
thank you for your cooperation.
