VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

Very stressed about tomorrow's Pharmacology test! I went to the tutoring this afternoon, and all I got out of it was the teacher making me feel like I was stupid for asking questions.:banghead:

I left about 1:20, and agree it was useless to go. I wish all of you well on the test tomorrow, just do the best you can, and move forward. We are here to be nurses, and nurses we will be. I have already come to terms that there will be some classes that are easier than others, so we can not allow this one class to become a STRESSOR. LOL. I wish you all the best.

Anyone else getting weak in the knees about starting clinicals?:sofahider

Clinicals are the best part, it's probably where you'll make your closest friends and possibly enemies. Most of the instructors are up for a good laugh and they're very knowledgeable.

The drug cards are a bit of a drag, but you get to do all the bed baths your heart desires. :smokin:

Thanks, although I'm in group 2, and will not be going out next week.

Beds baths aren't too bad, they're hit or miss if you know what I mean. :chuckle

2nd semester depending on where they place you, you may be doing 1-2/day.

If you're trying to avoid them, play your cards right, pretend you need troubleshooting, volunteer to be group leader, delegate, etc. In my experience I did 1/2 a bed bath 1st semester, but I repaid my debt 2nd semester, 3rd semester, no bed baths, I just washed an ambulatory pt.

Not much to be afraid of though, they really ease you into it, youll start off feeding and getting to know residents, then most of the time youll be hanging out, trust me.

I owe $796, but can't pay until Oct 22, will they kick me out for this? The counselor told me she doesn't want me to get suspended, are they serious. Do you know anyone that didn't pay all right away, and if so what did they do?
