VCC Fall 2021

Published

Hi! I thought I would make this as I did not see one already made! I have never applied to VCC before, so any info anyone has would be amazing!

Hi have you already taken the math assessment? Did you just review using the practice questions? It's been a while since I've written a math test so I'm little nervous for it.

Yeah, I would also suggest searching vcc learning resources and you will find extra work sheets under health sciences if you need them. The test covers exactly the same topics that are on the practice test and it is a very simple math test once you remember how to divide again LOL.

LOL I know I haven't done this stuff since high school. Thank you so much!!

Hi guys! I’m applying as well for this intake. It looks like they received my post-secondary transcript but require my high school one as well. What email did you guys send your high school transcripts to? Also, does your CASPer note on the application summary say that you have to go to the CASPer website to check that it’s been received? I checked the CASPer website and it shows the results have been delivered already but it doesn’t state explicitly received” or “complete” on the application requirements on the VCC website.

I think I sent mine to the admissions email address. You can also email it to one of the advisors.

The CASPer results are sent to VCC in June. My stuff took a bit to update, I had to email everything in.

When you wrote it, did it have topics not on the sample like roman numerals or ratio/proportion? Or was it just the sections covered in the sample test?

I have the same question. I also noticed the metric conversions practice sheet has linear, square, and cubic measurements which the sample does not have.. Should I know all of these or just the ones on the sample sheet?

Has anyone heard anything about acceptances?

I have no news yet. Buy I've been checking myvcc often for updates. It's really nerve-wrecking!

I haven't heard anything either, it'll probably be a little bit as the application deadline wasn't too long ago! I also noticed the CASPer assessment has not been updated yet in the application.

Checked my application status today- it says my application has been withdrawn by admissions on June 14th. No clue why, I'll be calling them later. Anyone else have this too?

I checked my status out of curiosity (not interested in attending vcc any longer) and it says the same thing which is hilarious considering how many times I have emailed them to confirm I met all the requirements such as the Casper results. I haven't received any email from them. Honestly, I am not impressed how VCC handles things.

I just checked my status too out of curiosity and mine has also been withdrawn which is weird to me as I got accepted into BCIT for the fall and I've already accepted my seat there. I was just curious to see if I'd get into VCC but I guess I never meet their requirements.

Congrats! They confirmed with me that I met all their requirements a while back so I don't know why they would withdraw my application. Thankfully, I was accepted to UBC a while ago which was my top choice anyways.
