VCC Fall 2021

Published

Hi! I thought I would make this as I did not see one already made! I have never applied to VCC before, so any info anyone has would be amazing!

I just checked my status too out of curiosity and mine has also been withdrawn which is weird to me as I got accepted into BCIT for the fall and I've already accepted my seat there. I was just curious to see if I'd get into VCC but I guess I never meet their requirements.

Congratulations! I'm waitlisted for BCIT but accepted for sure for January. Hopefully I'll be starting in September!

If your application is withdrawn it means you did not make the program. I just called and talked to admissions.

I also asked about a waitlist and was told she wasn't sure if they have one..

Thanks for the clarification. You would think they would put "non-offer" instead of "withdrawn" if you were not accepted. LOL

OMG I phoned and the rep was so snappy with me. Withdrawn is not the same as non-offer/rejection.

I’m waitlisted to BCIT so was really hoping for VCC. ?

Hi! What do you mean withdrawn is not the same as non-offer/rejection? Does that mean we’re not technically rejected?

Unfortunately it does mean the same as non-offer when it comes to VCC. Normally withdrawn means you were missing a requirement by the time of the deadline. Instead of putting the decision as “non-offer”, they used “withdrawn” instead.

Yeah she wasn’t too happy when I called either. I’m just surprised they couldn’t tell me if there was a waitlist or not…

Don’t lose hope, you could make it in to BCIT for September!!

I’m so so confused. I had phoned them twice to make sure I had every requirement before applying. And they confirmed. And now I’m withdrawn as well?

I’m confused too bc I emailed VCC yesterday asking when we would hear back about acceptances and they said at the end of July.. so I’m hoping they made a mistake on our applications.

Yeah, me too! I’m confused as I met all the requirements before May 31st. I have a confirmation email about our CASPer scores being sent directly to the department.

I am very confused. My application status has changed again to "At Dept being reviewed on:28-MAY-2021". Maybe they made a mistake the first time and gave wrong information over the phone? Anyone else's change again?

Mine changed to the same LOL. The person on the phone was likely just guessing the answer instead of actually taking the time to inquire to the correct person about it.
