Vanderbilt, UMASS, UVM Direct Entry MSN

HI,

I have applied to Vanderbilt, UVM and UMASS for Fall 2010. Has anyone else ? What are your stats. I am trying really hard to find out what my odds are and can not find anything on the web. Does anyone know where I can find out this information ? I am on the cut off line with GRE score and GPA for Vanderbilt. Any information would be very much apperciated

I got an acceptance letter in the mail today for the PNP program. Unfortunately, it said that during the second year, I'd have to do my clinicals outside of Tennessee because they have limited local placements.

Soooo..... I'm going to decline the offer. Hopefully, that will open up a spot for someone else!

This happens when there are a lot of schools in an area -- there are only just so many good places for students to do their 2nd year clinicals. You might check into whether there is a waitlist for local (greater Nashville area) clinical sites for 2nd year and, if so, can you be at the top of the list. Someone else is going to decline acceptance, either because Vandy wasn't their first choice or because they don't want to go back home (wherever that may be) to complete 2nd year, they don't get funding, etc.

Just suggesting you explore the options available prior to sending in your declination.

Wow am I the only one who hasn't heard yet?? Do you guys know if FNP letters were sent out also?

I haven't heard anything either. I applied to the Psych NP program, but for direct entry (I already have my BSN and RN). Ridiculous.

I think Direct entry hears later than the pre-speciality. I dont know if that helps : )

I'm pre-specialty too! Oh well I've waited this long, a couple more weeks shouldn't kill me. Now whether I will have to be comitted before then is a different story!!!!!

Is anyone going to the open house sat?
