Vanderbilt Pre-specialty Fall 2011
Thanks for taking the time to post so much helpful info for us aspiring Commadores. I have a couple of question about clinicals. 1. Do the second semester clinical rotations also have 5-6 students per instructor on the unit? 2. How does that work... is each student assigned a patient and a nurse on the floor to follow or are all 5 students working with the instructor and one patient? 3. Are there two days of clinicals in the second semester? 4. What exactly is the adult health rotation? I'm looking forward to hearing more

Hi, I've got an acceptance into the accelerated program for Sep 11. I applied for Sept 10 and asked for a deferment for a year. I have looked at lots of programs and weighed the differences. If you want to start working fast and have some background in the area you will get your masters in this program is the best. It's expensive but worth it...because it's a year shorter than most programs. On the other hand if you are young and have lots of time another program might be better for you

I also had my interview for Psych (pre-specialty) at Vanderbilt last week. I got the same info as you about 20 slots for 40 applications...that's way better odds that some of other Psych NP programs around the country. Thanks for the info on how they rank us.
