Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty Entry 2021

I noticed there was not a thread created for Vanderbilt pre-specialty nursing for 2021, so I created one. Is anyone already preparing for this upcoming application cycle?

I live in NYC and applied to the nurse-midwifery program, this was my only application. I will do Yale next cycle if need be. I have never been to Nashville and feel like what @Asia8701 said we are dynamic and can adapt. Although as a POC who lives in Brooklyn I hope there is welcome diversity in Nashville. Very excited and looking forward to next week! 

I agree with this. I’m currently living in Boston so I know potentially moving south will be quite the change!

I just called the Vanderbilt SoN to figure out when they’re releasing MSN and certificate admissions decisions. I was told that the priority deadline applicants should know by the end of next week (Feb 19) by the latest and to keep an eye on my email. Faculty are making the final decisions on the people who applied by October 15 and then everyone else will find out not too long after that!

ME TOO I keep checking the portal even though they said they were sending out emails... ugh

Does anyone have an idea if they send out emails in the morning or afternoon?

Previous threads seem to be after 5pm it sounds like. And tomorrow’s President’s Day so who knows if we will get them ?

really depends... in the past 5pm but I also seen a couple years back that they found out earlier in the day around 12

I was thinking definitely tomorrow since historically it comes out the 14th, but I totally forgot about the holiday. Not all businesses close for that one, so I'm still hopeful, but feels more 50/50 now...

Yeah I thought tomorrow was definitely the day until some one said that. But like you said all establishments do not close. I believe their school is still open tomorrow
