Hey everyone! I couldn't find this thread anywhere so figured that I would start one for all of us who applied to Vanderbilt's Pre-Specialty Entry program (for non-RNs) this fall. I applied for the PMHNP specialty. What about you?! :)
Nope, and no mail today. Around President's Day weekend is when people found out last year. I'm starting to get really anxious and kind of want to call.
I was so close to doing that on Friday but ended up not. Also, is there a certain date we need to have our FAFSA completed by? They keep emailing me telling me to finish completing it but I don't really want to until I hear back from Vanderbilt...I'm a little superstitious in that sense. haha
While we are anxiously waiting...have any of you also applied to Columbia and gotten accepted? Vandy and Columbia are my top choice schools, and I am wondering if anyone out there is also having the same/similar decision to make. Of course, I have not been accepted to Vandy, so the decision may be easy for me if I don't get in, but I am trying to stay positive. Anyone want to weigh in on pros/cons of the two programs? This wait is agonizing...good luck everyone!
@ariahealingarts - I am also debating between Vandy (if I get in), Columbia, and Northeastern. I like that with COlumbia and Northeastern you get a BSN/ Bachelors after the first half of the program so if you wanted to take time off and work, you could and would not have trouble transferring the RN license to another state. Though I am still very undecided!
