Vanderbilt Nurse Residency 2015

The application for the Vanderbilt nurse residency for February 2015 will open in August. Who all is applying? Does anyone have advice for those of us who will be applying?

This is sad...but I will say it...I looked back at the forum from last year LOL. They started posting about receiving emails for interviews on Sept. 26. That obviously means nothing necessarily....but....just for everyone's curiosity :)

Haha I made the same observation in that thread the other night and even went so far as to look and see that Sept 26 of 2013 was a Wednesday. Therefore, I thought there was a chance we might hear today haha.

Did anyone else receive an email from HR telling them that there's an opening in the Fall 2014 Acute Care Nurse Residency Pilot Program and to apply? I'm not sure if this is the next step in the process or totally unrelated to my already submitted application...

I believe it is totally unrelated. I received the same email. Let me know if you hear any updates that suggest otherwise though.

well wednesday came and is gone and nothing! so maybe today =) trying to be patient but this is so hard!!!!! i didnt even receive that email. hope its not a bad sign!

Well listen, who knows why we got this email. It could be because we are no longer being considered for the track to which we applied. (Hopefully that is not the case). Either way, did you check your spam in case it diverted to that folder by accident? And yes, definitely hoping we hear today. I wonder if they ever peruse this thread. If so we probably look so anxious haha.

Haha we are all just ready to know. I think that is just a generated email from a server searching for recent applicants or job profiles that match the criteria to apply. So is everyone thinking today or is it just hope?

I also received that email regarding the other residency. I have gotten several emails like that though with other positions, so I agree that it is just a generated email about a position that fits our profile. Just a thought :)

I didn't recieve an email about a pilot residency either but I believe I also unchecked the spot where they ask if you'd like to receive emails about job openings. Still waiting though. I'm ready to hear back either way.
