Vanderbilt Nurse Residency 2015

Nursing Students School Programs

The application for the Vanderbilt nurse residency for February 2015 will open in August. Who all is applying? Does anyone have advice for those of us who will be applying?

I received my email confirming a CVICU interview on October 8th at 11am. Just a little over a week away.

Congrats, that's awesome!! I requested the last week in October but haven't heard back yet. Did you get the e-mail today?

Got my date set. :singing: I'm over the moon! They really have their act together. I'm impressed. Many of the residencies I've applied to seem to be haphazardly thrown together, but not .

I actually got the email yesterday morning, bekahm. I had requested to interview on the 13th but they gave me the 8th instead - which I told them was fine if they needed to fit me in somewhere else.

As for the nervousness, same. I plan to do some serious meditating this weekend.

Want to wish all of yall the best of luck. i am going to unfollow this thread now since i did not get chosen for an interview. i was placed on the wait list, but doesnt look like any luck has came of that. Hoping the best for all of yall!

Thank you futurenurse. Good luck to you as well! I know that there are many opportunities that await you!!

Thanks craigsoon2bebsn_rn. havent really heard back from anywhere but not giving up. surely something will come my way eventually.

So I know that in the emails we were told that there was no need to provide a resume for the interview as they will have it pulled up on the screen. Is anyone bringing an updated resume or "career portfolio" anyway?

I've been going back and forth about this too and I'm still unsure!

I'm going to bring an updated copy of my resume but I wouldn't bring it out unless than asked for it. I would just feel more secure knowing I had it just in case.

Hello everyone! I just found this thread. I will be interviewing for the NICU nurse residency program on October 30th. I'm flying from Maryland for an in-person interview. So nervous!

I have an online portfolio. I'm debating if I should print it out and put it in a binder. In my last career, I brought a portfolio to every interview, but only one or two interviews looked at it, so it really was a waste of time and energy.
