Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2021

Hi guys! Vanderbilt's nurse residency program for Summer 2021 opened up yesterday. I'm starting this thread so we can all keep up with the process together! Who is applying?

Has anyone heard from CVICU, MICU, or SICU? Just curious! Good luck to all!

Hi! I had the Women’s track as my #1 and Adult Critical (SICU & ED & Burn ICU) as my #2 and have not heard anything from anyone!

I have not! I applied to MICU, SICU, and ED for one of my preferences. Has anyone heard from any of the Adult Acute Surgical tracks?

I applied to ED. Have over 1.5 years experience in a trauma ED and had it as my first choice but got an interview for my third choice instead. Makes me wonder if ED isn’t hiring many or any this year.

I put ED 1, trauma ICU 2, burn ICU 3. In my video interview I said I’d want adult or peds ER as my top two though

Has anyone interviewed with any Adult Critical Care units yet? I have my interview Wednesday and I’m curious how laid back this conversation is supposed to be and what they may ask!

I have my interview with Burn ICU tomorrow!
