Hi everyone! My name is Tori. I created this page for those interested in the summer 2018 nurse residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. We can use this page as a place to share application tips, updates on the status of applications/interviews, tips for the entire application/interview process, etc. And of course, it's great to speak with others going through the same experience!

Any examples of questions that were asked?

I interviewed for the PMAC. Questions were based on clinical, volunteer, & work experience. I practiced using behavioral style interview questions found on the internet and felt prepared. I think it also helps for any interview to provide multiple examples. Did they say when you were hear back @CM14

@forevernursetn Awesome!! I have a friend who interviewed on PMAC as well. I was told by Mrs. Fargo it could be by the end of this week (I'm hoping tomorrow!!!) or all throughout April. So we will see!

@rnstudent95 I made a note in my phone of different clinical/work experiences that went along with some example situational questions online. I felt very prepared, did a mock interview with a classmate, and there was nothing that I had to pause for. Just really make sure to think of your different experiences and you'll do great!

@rnstudent95 and know stuff like conflicts and challenges you faced in clinical or work. Make sure and tell outcomes. What are you interviewing for?

I interview for the Adult Acute Med track in 2 weeks... could not be more nervous- Vandy has been my top choice since I started nursing school! Was the interview intimidating?? I'm afraid I'm going to blank when answering questions!
