Hi everyone! My name is Tori. I created this page for those interested in the summer 2018 nurse residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. We can use this page as a place to share application tips, updates on the status of applications/interviews, tips for the entire application/interview process, etc. And of course, it's great to speak with others going through the same experience!

I just got a call and I didn't get my track choice, which was Trauma, but they did offer me a SICU or MICU interview and I'm going to take the SICU. I doubt they've started notifying people of full out rejections yet until they've scheduled ample interviews for all of their open positions.

I got a call that they didn't have anything in peds hem onc for me, but offered an interview in adult med surg. I declined, I'm focusing on peds. Good luck everyone!

I just got a call saying that I was being put on the waitlist, so I'm not really sure what that means for me. I applied to Trauma ICU. Good luck to everyone!

Just got a call that I'm on the waitlist. I asked if it is specific to the track I applied to (Peds acute care), and she said possibly but most likely for any track in the program. Follow-up for waitlist candidates will be sent via email or phone anytime between March 1 - April 5.

I unfortunately missed the phone call and when I called back I had to leave a voicemail, so I was not able to get much info besides the fact of meeting the qualifications and being on the waitlist.
