Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2016

Published

Hello! I was wondering if anyone was thinking about applying for Vanderbilt's nurse residency program for summer 2016. For those who have applied to other terms or gone through the residency: any advice?!

I'm applying for ED or one of the ICU's.... havent gotten that far yet! I'm going to take the Arizona nclex (because thats where I live) since its part of the compact with TN and if out of state opportunities don't work out, I'm still prepared to stay in AZ.

Hey! I graduate in June, I'm in Colorado so I am planning on taking the NCLEX in TN

The clinical references are on the second part of the application. Also there you will pick the track you are applying for, input your resume, your letter of intent, as will as you transcript, they also have a section that asks you to out information on any work, volunteering, and leadership experience from the past 6 months. Hope that helps :)

It did help. Thank you :)

Hello all! I am graduating in May 2016, I am from MA and currently have no idea where I am taking the NLCEX

I know me either! I'm originally from Maine, but they recommend taking the TN NCLEX, but what if I move home after the residency?

Anybody finish and submit their application packet yet? If so, did you get an email back besides the automatically generated email?

I am originally from Kentucky but am in school in Texas. I graduate in April 2016. I am waiting on transcripts as well as my advisor and then I am finished with the application packet.

Hi everyone! I am also applying. I will be graduating at the end of this month so I hope its enough time to get my ATT and license before August! (I'm coming from California, and CA's BRN takes a minute to process stuff and transfer since its not a compact state.) Hope to get to know you all throughout this application process, and good luck!

Just finished my packet and submitted it!

Considering it's typically designed for May graduates, I think you will be just fine on time :)

Is anyone applying for pediatric critical care?!
