Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Summer 2016

Published

Hello! I was wondering if anyone was thinking about applying for Vanderbilt's nurse residency program for summer 2016. For those who have applied to other terms or gone through the residency: any advice?!

I submitted my packet on the 21st and all I got was an email saying that it had been received. Also from the looks of the past threads they heard back in 2-3 week! Hopefully sooner than later!!

Hey Everyone,

I have also applied for the Paediatrics Acute Care track. I graduated last year June 2015 and missed the winter deadline by a week. Do you think this gap would be considered unfavourable? The only info I could find online was that you should have less than 6 months of RN experience at the time of application (which sadly I don't ).

All you can do is apply and see what happens! Good luck.

Anyone have any idea when they would be calling for the interviews?

The email I got said the end of February would be the time they would start contacting people.

Thanks kymedic25 Which email though? I haven't heard anything since I submitted the packet? Except the one from Ms Fargo saying the packet has been received :/

We have received and entered all of your information to our database for your Nurse Residency Application Packet.

There will be an e-mail follow up by the last week in February 2016 regarding the next steps.

Thank you for your interest in the Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program!

Interesting, thank you for sharing the email with me. hmm i guess I should hear something like that soon. You received this email after the "Thank you your packet has been received" email?

Yes 10 days later.

Hey everyone! I'm SO glad I found this thread-- I'm from Montana due to graduate in May 2016 and applied to the Women's Health track! Excited/ nervous to hear back from Tracey!

I submitted everything 1/22 but never got an email past the one that said my application had been received. Should I be concerned?

No, I submitted mine on 1/20 and just got the second more-detailed email yesterday!
