Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program Summer 2017

I know I am WAY ahead on this, but I just wanted to see who all was applying for VUMC nurse residency program in the summer 2017? The application opens up on December 9th and I want to apply for the Adult Critical Care Track! If anyone has any tips on the application, please feel free to comment! :) I know it's a long time coming, but I just want to see who out there will be applying!

I said that my overall interest was critical care. My senior internship is in a Trauma ICU, but I said that my interest was in cardiac. And I think they notify about interviews a few weeks after applications close! I am extremely nervous though :/ My GPA is not that great, I have no volunteer or leadership experience. I do, however, have 8 years as a bartender/waitress, and I also participated in an externship this summer in an operating room. I'm afraid though that it won't be enough to get an interview. But seriously, good luck to all of you! Keep all of us updated on any info you receive!

Nope. I think the original packet email stated that we probably wouldn't hear anything about a potential interview for roughly 2 weeks or so after the application period closes on the 20th. I hope we all get an interview.

Hello all, what different programs are you guys coming from? and what are your GPAs and experience looking like?

I'm from the midwest (out-of-state) as well so I would be moving. So close to submitting mine... just waiting on loose ends.

@RN1234567890 My GPA is a 4.0 and I am in a BSN program (however I don't think GPA really bears much weight in the decision making process), I have experience working in the hospital setting as a CNA. Other than that I have some leadership experience but no volunteer experience within the last 6 months.

Hoping to get an interview, I would love to work at Vandy!

No, I did not receive this email. Did this email go out to the people that haven't completed their packet yet?
