I know I am WAY ahead on this, but I just wanted to see who all was applying for VUMC nurse residency program in the summer 2017? The application opens up on December 9th and I want to apply for the Adult Critical Care Track! If anyone has any tips on the application, please feel free to comment! :) I know it's a long time coming, but I just want to see who out there will be applying!

Hey everyone! I'm currently at senior and graduate in May and I'll be applying for one of the ICU units! I just submitted my initial application on Friday Dec 30 and still waiting for my email with the second packet to fill out. Is anyone else still waiting to hear back?

It took a few days for me to hear back as well! It will come :)

GOod luck to all! I ended up changing my choice to CVICU, cardiac is just where my heart is at! And considering I already have my ACLS before graduating, I hope this helps my case. I don't have any volunteer experience or leadership, that is gonna hurt me :/

Im sure having your ACLS will help! I have plenty of volunteer experience but just not in the past 6 months that they were specifically asking for. CVICU would be an awesome place to start your nursing career tho!
