I know I am WAY ahead on this, but I just wanted to see who all was applying for VUMC nurse residency program in the summer 2017? The application opens up on December 9th and I want to apply for the Adult Critical Care Track! If anyone has any tips on the application, please feel free to comment! :) I know it's a long time coming, but I just want to see who out there will be applying!
I would really like Trauma, but would be absolutely fine with working in the Adult ED, Neurological ICU, or Burn Unit. I have to wait to hear back first. Do you think they stay true to sending out the packet within 72 hours or do they send the packet much later?
I received my packet 72 hours after my initial application
Does anyone know if they also consider you for other tracks than the one that you choose on the application? I would LOVE MICU but I think my previous experiences might be seen as better suited for a different ICU.
Just waiting for one of my references to respond and then sending it...
Are you guys from Tennessee or out of state? I'm hoping being out of state doesn't hurt our chances.

ijwajok, from reading past threads it sounds like they do consider you for other tracks if you are not selected form the one you apply for. I think its all based off of the needs for the different units at the time they are hiring. Im sending mine in tonight!
Im from Ohio. Where is everyone else from?
For some reason Im having trouble posting comments, so sorry if there are any double posts from me!

Yeah that is kind of annoying because you could have SO much experience but it not be as recent as 6 months! And mermaids_nurse, looks like it! Fortunately it seems to be all different units! lol Good luck!
