Hi h.nurse94! I was just wondering if you could tell me the application process you had to go through for St. Thomas residency? I start my last year of nursing school in the fall and will graduate with my BSN. When you applied did you have your license already? I just didn't know if I could apply before I had my license. I know I am WAY ahead on this, but I just wanted to see who all was applying for VUMC nurse residency program in the summer 2017? The application opens up on December 9th and I want to apply for the Adult Critical Care Track! If anyone has any tips on the application, please feel free to comment! :) I know it's a long time coming, but I just want to see who out there will be applying!

newbienurse11, Thank you so much for your feedback! I am applying for a critical care track, preferably CVICU or surgical ICU. My GPA is a 3.45 overall currently but I still have two semesters of nursing school left! I work in a hospital operating room as a nurse extern, so hopefully that will look good on my application. I will definitely look up those behavioral interviews! I am going to completely prepare myself for that. I just hope I get the chance for an interview! I am going to try to get into a surgical ICU on my preceptor shift! That unfortunately does not happen until the spring! Again, thank you so much and good luck! :)

Hey there! I am applying for the Vanderbilt residency program for summer 2017! I am from Tallahassee, Florida and I attend Florida State University's BSN program! I was wondering if any of you had any advice about the interviews? And those of you who have been offered a position, what were your stats? GPA, leadership experience, etc. Thanks so much!
