Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program Summer 2017

I know I am WAY ahead on this, but I just wanted to see who all was applying for VUMC nurse residency program in the summer 2017? The application opens up on December 9th and I want to apply for the Adult Critical Care Track! If anyone has any tips on the application, please feel free to comment! :) I know it's a long time coming, but I just want to see who out there will be applying!

Hey! I have been offered a position in the program starting this summer but being from out of state I'm very nervous about being able to support myself. Could you give me some insight into the cost of living and where to try and live in Nashville? I would like to stay in the city but I'm thinking it may not be possible. Thanks!

If I end up getting an offer from any hospital, I will be in need of a roommate if you are interested! lol

Hey there! I go for my interview on Tuesday. Any advice on the interview? How much is the starting salary?

I interview tomorrow in the morning :) for Adult Acute Medicine. Good Luck to you! I drove by where we interview tonight so I wouldn't get lost lol. It was kinda hard to find in the dark lol

Anyone get an offer for the Acute Adult Surgical Track?? I got an offer which I'm very excited about but concerned with the salary they are offering. Doesn't seem like enough to live in Nashville... any thoughts?

Good luck and congrats to everyone with interviews!!

I just wanted to see if anyone could give me some advice for my interview next week. I read previous post where someone said there were situational questions... were they questions like "What would you do if..." or "Tell us about a time when..." ? I'm so nervous lol just want to try to be as prepared as possible.

I am also a little concerned and shocked about the pay... It's definitely not all about the money for me, but I've looked at apartments just out of curiosity and it seems pricey to live in or around Nashville. it makes me nervous.

I interviewed this past Tuesday, and was offered via phone the Adult Acute Medicine Track this afternoon. I haven't received the "offer" email yet to accept. I'll be accepting once they do :) I'm so excited!!!
