Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Program Summer 2013

This thread is for those who are applying for the nurse residency program at Vanderbilt. I thought this would be a great place to keep up to date Inge selection process and make connections with new friends and colleagues. I am currently in my final year of nursing school at UCCS in Colorado. My goals are to be accepted for the adult critical care track an then return to school and become a CRNA. I know the job market is very competitive, especially for residency programs. I completed the online application 2 days ago and am waiting to hear back for more instructions. Good luck to everyone:)

I know one of my references sent in her form and I didn't did a confirmation email! I think you get one after all your references send in the information though:)

Yep once all the references have been submitted, they send you an email saying your recommendations are complete.

if you log back in to the online app and go to your submitted reference section there will also be a check mark by the references that have sent back the form so that way you can tell who hasn't sent theirs in yet

No checks marks.. So far this has been pretty frustrating getting anyone to reply Looks like all my hard work is going down the drain.

Good to know! I think only one of my people has sent in their reference and the other wont respond to my emails now.. Ugh so frustrating

Hang on there y'all. Teachers are probably just busy from the holidays, I'm sure they will respond once classes get started again. they know how important this is! ps if any of y'all get an email stating your transcript has been received let me know... I hate this waiting game. I am contemplating sending another one just to be confident they have everything.

I got a confirmation email about my application being received, but I never got a confirmation email about my references being received. So I emailed my references asking them to look out for an email from Vanderbilt. One responded saying she never got anything from the last month from Vandy, but she'll keep me posted.

So should she have gotten an email from them after I submitted her name/email?

Gahh I hope this is sorted out my the deadline!!

My teachers got emails immediately after I entered their emails. Can vandy resend the email? Did your teachers check their spam?

Also does anyone know if you email them can they change the email address of any of your references? Thanks.

So I think today Vanderbilt sent out emails to our alternates for references if the first two choices hadn't responded! I also got an email saying all my references had been turned in! So excited! January 23 is gonna come so slow now good luck to everyone!!! I wonder how long after the 23rd well find out if we have interviews or not! I hate waiting!!
