Vanderbilt MSN 2020

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Updated:   Published

I just attended Vanderbilt's fall open house for the 2020 year and I'm really excited to be applying! I'm hoping to connect with other Vandey applicants so we can offer support and info along this process. I am applying to the post BSN dual CNM/ FNP program.

The third week of February? Lol I have to decide on other programs before then. I am officially freaking out.

Is anyone else applying as a non-nursing major? I made the priority deadline for FNP, fingers crossed!

They informed us at open house that they are not doing any interviews this year. Last year the decision emails were sent on February 22 and the year before that was February 14.

Hi, I am a current senior majoring in Biology and Psychology. I made the priority ddl for PMHNP. Good luck to all of us!

Are you sure there are no interviews? This is on the Vanderbilt website -

"Should I contact the admissions office to set up a personal interview?

No, once your application is complete and sent for faculty review, the faculty will determine who will be interviewed. You will be contacted by a staff member to arrange the interview date & time."

That is what we were told at the open house! If someone else attended open house, feel free to clarify but that is the information I remember!

Also, if you read the comments on the first page, about 6 comments down, I believe that person attended open house too and she says no interviews this year as well.

@Ulmera @PhoenixNurseNY hi, it seems to me that this F&Q has been posted for a long time and the “no interview” policy just came out this year. So it’s possible that they haven’t updated the website to reflect changes.

I just asked the admission office. They confirmed that there is no interviews.
